Thank you for your interest in the MESC 2019!

The agenda for the Medicaid Enterprise Systems Conference is the responsibility of the National Planning Committee comprised of members from CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services); the S-TAG (Systems Technical Advisory Group); PSTG (Private Sector Technology Group); NMEH (National Medicaid Enterprise Hub); the host State (Chicago, Illinois) and NESCSO. Planning begins immediately after the prior year’s conference. Breakout sessions are created from a call for abstracts targeted at topics suggested by the Planning Committee.

You can view the MESC 2019 Day at a Glance Agenda here.

Abstract proposals are sought for the one-hour Education Sessions as well as the 2.5 hour Workshops.

2.5 Hour Workshops:

A limited number of workshops will be offered on Monday, August 19th from 3:30 to 6:00 prior to the opening ceremonies of the Conference. The workshops are not just longer presentations; they are intended to be highly interactive. Topics that are more focused on training or deep dives with discussion would be appropriate for Workshops. We are looking for abstracts that require participants to be engaged. Participants will not be charged extra to attend, but will be asked to pre-register.

One-hour Education Sessions:

These sessions will be offered beginning at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 20th through 10:15 AM on Thursday August 21st. Session rooms will hold up to 450 people.

Priority will be given to Workshop and Education Session Abstracts that are proposed by or that include State government representatives.  We understand that it can be challenging for States to commit to travel this far in advance and their conference participation cannot be guaranteed.  We also understand that some companies who may be new to this environment may not be able to include State representatives. If this is the case, please include that information in the Additional Comments Section of the Workshop or Abstract Submissions.

All abstracts submissions are due by midnight (Eastern) on Friday, March 15th.
